One of the new mas bands that is expected to take to the streets on Carnival Monday and Tuesday 2013, with its presentation Charm, is being produced by Robert Amar and his wife, Sharon, along with a team of experts in the arena they've assembled.
Amar is a businessman who took over his father's successful auto dealership in the 1980's and, from there, branched into several other ventures, including the Caribbean Sound Basin Recording Studios and the Kiskeedee Karavan.
Having served as an executive member of the team producing the mas band known as D'Krew for some time, Amar is now seeking to employ the experience gathered there into creating a new experience for masqueraders of Charm. The band was officially launched on September 1 at the car park of the Gravity nightclub in St James.

Amar said at the launch that he will ensure all members of Charm the highest quality service possible on the road throughout Carnival Monday and Tuesday. "I believe that it's time to raise the bar a notch as it relates to how masqueraders are serviced," he said.
Charm offers an all-inclusive service and will also feature a number of amenities not previously available to masquerders. " The public will see new systems in bar service and overall fun and excitement when the band Charm hits the streets of Port of Spain on Carnival Monday and Tuesday in 2013," Amar said.
